Mark James Dombkowski, a resident of Gresham, Oregon, died on March 3, 2012 in Gresham. He was 64 years of age.

Mark and his twin sister, Phyllis, were born on June 23, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley and Eugenia (Felczak) Dombkowski. Mark grew up in Franklin Park, IL. He attended Blackburn and Triton Colleges before joining the Navy in 1968. He was stationed at N.A.S. Miramar in San Diego where he met and married the love of his life, Anne Camacho on November 28, 1970. They were married for 41 years. He spent two tours of duty in Vietnam on the U.S.S. Shangri-La and the U.S.S. Coral Sea. He received an honorable discharge in 1972 at the rank of AN.

After his discharge, Mark and Anne moved to Oregon where their daughter Kari was born. He worked at Raygo Wagner for many years and retired from Connor Manufacturing in 2001. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Mark was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1995. He dealt with his disease with great humor and grace unit his death. He shared his gift of humor with his family and friends. He enjoyed ZZ Top, Sci-Fi, jazz music and family gatherings.

Mark is survived by his wife and soul mate, Anne of Gresham, daughter, Kari Dombkowski of Gresham, sister, Phyllis (husband, Ray) Christiansen of Aurora, Illinois along with various sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and 9 nieces and nephews. His parents and various aunts and uncles preceded him in death.

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 4:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Henry Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will be at Willamette National Cemetery on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:30 am. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
